What time are the fights?
Sacramento Boxing Association
We’re excited to announce that we’re hosting a boxing event in Sacramento this weekend!
You can catch me in action on Saturday, September 29th, at the Sacramento Civic Center. I’ll compete in the Heavyweight division against Joe “Punching Bag” Wilson.
The time is 10 am, and you can find more details on our website!
Where are the fights?
I’m not going to lie. I’ve been to the fights before. It’s not something I would do regularly, but I have been to a few.
Sacramento is a city with a rich boxing history. While there is great interest and excitement surrounding the upcoming fight, it will still be tough to draw in people.
The main reason is that Sacramento isn’t known for having a large boxing fanbase.
However, there are a few reasons why this might change. First, it will be held at a new venue, the Golden 1 Center. This arena is brand new, and it has an incredible fan experience.
Second, the fight card is stacked.
The main event features two of the best boxers on the planet.
The main event is between the former WBA and IBF world champions Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather is a three-time world champion and is currently undefeated in his last six fights.
Pacquiao is a four-time world champion and is currently ranked as the pound-for-pound greatest fighter in the world.
While this is all well and good, a very important thing is missing.
The other fights on the card are all up-and-comers and local fighters.
Many of these fighters are going to be fighting for the first time.
You can expect some upsets and some exciting fights.

Top myths about Boxing in Sacramento
- Boxing isn’t for kids.
- Boxing won’t develop you into a great athlete.
- Boxing is an easy sport to learn.
- The best boxers don’t like to spar.
Boxing is a great sport. It’s one of the few sports where you can use your hands to hit people. And you don’t need any equipment other than your fists.
However, boxing isn’t your best bet if you’re looking for an inexpensive way to stay fit and get in shape. Boxing requires a lot of time and energy to train and compete. And it’s not for everyone.
As with most things, though, boxing has many benefits, too. You can easily get involved if you have a lot of spare time and a strong desire to stay fit.
The bottom line? I’m not sure that boxing is the best sport for everybody. But it’s worth checking out if you like being active and working out.
